Barcelona reported that Barcelona plans to hold the Gambel Cup in the new Camp Nou to test the stadium.
Barcelona President Laporta confirmed the news in a recent interview and added that the event will be held on August 9 or 10. This summer event organized by Barcelona will be an important test to prepare for the official opening of the audience in mid-to-late September. The club has applied for away games in the first three rounds of the new season, but the test match will not open the expected 60,000 audience seats like the official match.
According to the Catalonian Radio program, Barcelona plans to allow only 25,000 viewers to enter the venue in its debut in Camp Nou. The main reason is that due to the complexity of the project, there may still be traffic problems around the stadium, and some entrances and exits may not be completed. It should be noted that the tower crane on the construction site will remain in place.
Regarding the potential opponents of Gambel Cup, one of the options currently being considered is to face Cuomo, coached by Fabregas.
