Betis official: Appointment of club legend Joaquín as new director, subject to approval at the next shareholders’ meeting
The board of directors of Real Betis Club held a meeting on Tuesday afternoon and unanimously approved the appointment of Joaquín as the new director through a supplementary method. The appointment will be formally approved by shareholders at the next general meeting of shareholders.
As a result, Joaquin, the club’s legendary captain and shareholder, will officially become a member of the club’s management organization.
Since retiring in 2023, Joaquin has always expressed his desire to continue serving Real Betis. In fact, he has taken on some institutional and sporting responsibilities within the club over the past two seasons. On this basis, the former captain accepted the responsibility of joining the Board of Directors and will continue and intensify the work he has carried out over the past two seasons, maintaining direct links with the sports department.
