Victory coach of Plzen: This night will be unforgettable for a lifetime. In the second half, we did not defend but continued to attack.

In the third round of the Europa League early this morning, Plzen victoriously defeated the popular team Roma 2-1 away. After the game, Plzen Victory coach Martin Heskey was interviewed.

What is your evaluation of this victory?

I'm really happy, it's not easy to do. Before the game I didn't think about the result, I just focused on giving a good performance. Congratulations to the players, we performed well in the first half and held on in the second half. We left with our heads held high, this was a night we will never forget.

You just became the winning coach of Plzen last week, and you celebrated passionately after this game.

The ending was incredible! I took my shirt off because the fans asked me to. It was a great game, especially since I’ve only been coaching for a week. Thanks to the players and coaching staff, the credit for today belongs to them. This is a great achievement in my career.

How did you arrange the team's tactics in the second half?

The players gave me a lot of help, we talked a lot during the halftime break, we tried to keep the energy, we didn't want to defend with all our strength, but we wanted to continue attacking and score again. We are probably the only Czech team to have beaten Roma.
