What does the AUP joint round mean?
What does the joint round of the Australian Premier League mean? As there are 13 teams participating in the A-League season, the total rounds of the regular season have increased to 29 rounds, and new joint rounds have been added. So what does the joint round of the AUP mean? Let's take a look together.
Combined Round is a supplementary match system designed by the A-League to deal with the schedule of 13 teams (odd teams). Each team needs to play two additional matches in the regular season to balance the total game. The opponents of the game are temporarily decided by the league official based on the schedule and do not follow the regular matching rules of fixed home and away rounds.
