World Sports: For a prize of 8 million euros, Barcelona plans to go to Peru to play a friendly match in December

According to a report from Mundo Deportivo, FC Barcelona is currently actively evaluating the feasibility of traveling to Peru on December 22 to play a friendly match with a Peruvian League All-Star team at the Monument Stadium. This game is expected to bring considerable revenue to the club of 7 million to 8 million euros.

Barcelona has received the relevant invitation and intends to accept it, but it needs to arrange the connection between this friendly match and the players' Christmas vacation. The team's last league game before Christmas will be played at Villarreal's home court - the game originally scheduled to be held in Miami on Saturday, December 20, has finally been moved to the Ceramic Stadium. Barcelona has applied to maintain the game schedule, and then the team will immediately travel to Peru to play a commercial match with the Peruvian League All-Star Team at the Monument Stadium.

At the same time, Barcelona is also negotiating with the Spanish Football Players Association on arrangements for the players' Christmas vacation. Since the team will also have a game against Espanyol on January 3 or 4, they must resume training at least five to six days in advance, so any holiday arrangements must comply with the minimum requirements of the AFE protocol.

Currently, Barcelona is waiting for a formal offer from the Peruvian event promoter in order to submit a complete application to La Liga and the Spanish Football Association. If the plan on December 22 cannot be realized, the club will still try to retain the contract and promise to complete this friendly match at an optional date if the schedule allows and does not affect coach Flick's plan.
