James: Love is my good friend, so I can only give myself 9 points when I dunk his ball
Today, Lakers forward James attended the media day of the new season and was interviewed by Spectrum SportsNet.
The host invited James to score several major deductions in his Lakers career (10-point system).
Second note: Love in the 2021-22 season.
James gave this deduction of 9 points and said, "Oh, my god. Kevin Love is my good buddy. I spent a lot of time with him this summer. I still remember Venin (Gabriel)'s reaction to this hand-held head. I really didn't know who was deducting at the beginning. You guys really made it difficult for me to do this ball. I would score 9 points, I really want to score 10 points, but Kevin is my good buddy, so I can't give it a full 10."
