Dell: I am considering becoming a coach in the future. Tottenham Hotspur was in good momentum at that time and won the championship

Dell was interviewed and talked about his future coaching plans, what he learned from many world-class coaches, and defended former Tottenham Hotspur chairman Levi.

You seem to be preparing for the future and have plans to become a coach?

Becoming a coach is definitely something I'm considering. I am very lucky because there is an incredible academy here (Monaco) with a brilliant history of cultivating great players. Hopefully I can spend more time with them, this is my plan to take some practical lessons to get a coaching certificate, and also to gain experience and feel those things.

You have played for many famous coaches, what have you learned from them?

Pochettino: We were a young team at the time. He was very good at motivating us and teaching us to do a very good job in the foundation. Another thing he taught me was to stay professional physically, too.

Mourinho: Personal charm, personality, communication skills.

Conte: Work hard, discipline, personality. He is also a very good person.

Postkoglu: Intensity, bravery, I enjoyed his training very much.

Tuheer: Tactics, personal charm.

Kompani (his last coach at Bayern): stability, tactics, very hardworking, and character. He is an excellent coach.

But none of them were English. What do you think of the lack of opportunities for England coaches?

For me, I do not accept this statement. Those things about coaching in England, I think football is a really good place because if you are the best you can get to the top. This is hard to stop. For anyone, players, coaches, physiotherapists, journalists, this is a very competitive industry because it is the largest sport in the world. So, there is nothing to complain about. Whoever is the best can get the best job, so coaches have to do their best to fight for those positions. Everyone can see the results. Football is fair in this regard.

Topspur was in good momentum at the time, but failed to lift a trophy

To be honest, I don't know (what is missing). I always look back at the first League Cup final (losed 0-2 to Chelsea in 2015). If we win a trophy in our first season, it really pushes us forward. It could have shaped the next five years completely differently. That was the most uneasy thing that I have ever been worried about.

How do you evaluate former chairman Daniel Levi? Fans often criticize him.

I sent him a message after he left because I had always had a good relationship with Daniel. In my opinion, he is always defending Tottenham's interests and trying his best every moment. As a fan, this deserves to be grateful, you know? If your boss takes care of your club like that.

Look at what happens to many wealthy clubs financially. While maintaining competitiveness and financial stability, Tottenham has successfully built the best training grounds and the best courts in the world. It is extraordinary that Tottenham can do this. I don't think anyone can object to this.
