"Marca" reported that the Spanish Football Federation is in urgent negotiations with the Seville city government to try to resolve the scheduling conflict with the date of this season's Copa del Rey final.
The final scheduled to be held on April 25 next year, local time, falls on the Saturday of Seville's traditional festival "April Day", and the nearby Jerez circuit will also host the Spanish leg of the Motorcycle Grand Prix on the same weekend.
Three large-scale events are held at the same time, which will put huge pressure on local logistics such as transportation, accommodation and security. In order to alleviate the situation, relevant parties are actively seeking solutions, and the date of the finals may also be adjusted.
This season’s final will be held at the Lacatuha Stadium. This is also the seventh consecutive year that this venue has hosted the King’s Cup final.
