Post: Chelsea has not lowered its asking price for Jackson, and if he does not leave, he will still join the first team
The Daily Mail reported that if Jackson is not sold this summer, Chelsea is willing to allow the Senegalese striker to stay in the team.
Jackson was not selected for Chelsea's friendly roster against Leverkusen at Stamford Bridge, and the Blues are currently helping the 24-year-old striker make the transfer and departure. Jackson trained alone at Cobham Base on Friday local time, while the rest of the team focused on the game against Leverkusen at 7 p.m.
Previously, Jackson had formally informed the club's managers that he hoped to seek a transfer to other teams this month. Chelsea is currently negotiating with several Premier League and European clubs, and if they believe the sale is in the club's best interest, they will approve the deal.
However, if Jackson remains at Chelsea when the summer transfer window is closed, insiders insist he will still be in the first team. The club still sees him as a valuable member of the coach Maresca's lineup.
Newcastle United has been closely connected with Jackson after missing Leipzig Red Bull's Sesco, and AC Milan, Juventus and other teams are also interested in the Senegalese striker.
Chelsea has long believed that Jackson's net worth is higher than Sesco's £74.1 million, and also higher than Liverpool's £79 million for Ekitic of Frankfurt.
