Postponed again! Marca: Full Camp Nou completion date postponed to December 2027
"Marca" reported that Barcelona Vice Chairman Ford announced the latest timetable for the return and completion of the new Camp Nou stadium at today's membership meeting. The most critical information is that the final full completion date of the stadium will be postponed to December 2027, later than the previously expected 2026.
In his speech, Ford elaborated on the plan for the staged opening of the stadium. She revealed that by the end of this year (2025), with the completion of the North Stand and the opening of more VIP facilities, the stadium will be able to accommodate 62,518 spectators. Prior to that, the stadium will first complete "Phase 1B" that can accommodate more than 45,000 people.
It is worth noting that although the club has obtained a preliminary occupation permit issued by the city government last Friday (allowing 27,000 people to enter the stadium), the club has decided that out of consideration of maximizing economic benefits, it will not return immediately, but will wait until the 1C phase (62,518 people) of the stadium with a larger capacity is ready before officially opening the new home stadium.
