According to "Daily Sports", Croatia's main goalkeeper Livakovic may end his loan in Girona in the winter window and return to his parent team Dinamo Zagreb.

The goalkeeper on loan from Fenerbahce (the absolute main force under Dalic) once again played the entire game as a starter in his national team's reversal victory against Montenegro.

After defeating the Faroe Islands on November 14 last year, the Croatian team has already won the World Cup ticket. Led by captain Luka Modric, Dalic's side qualified for their seventh World Cup.

As the runner-up in the World Cup in Russia and the third runner-up in the World Cup in Qatar, they defeated Montenegro in an away game, bringing an end to this glorious journey. Dominic Livakovic, the undisputed first choice goalkeeper, played the full ninety minutes against the Faroe Islands and also started and played the entire match against the Balkan side. However, he is yet to make his debut for Girona - who brought him in as a replacement for the long-term injured Juan Carlos.

Because of this, rumors have emerged in recent weeks that he may leave the team in the winter transfer window. According to UEFA regulations, a player cannot play official matches for more than two clubs in the same season. Since Livakovic has already made two appearances for Fenerbahce, if he makes his debut under Michel, he will not be able to play for a third club.

His arrival has (so far) mainly put competitive pressure on Paulo Gazzaniga - whose league form at the start of the season has been hesitant to say the least. But Livakovic needs game opportunities to ensure that his position as Croatia's No. 1 national goalkeeper will not be shaken before the World Cup.

Therefore, multiple Balkan media confirmed that the goalkeeper, who was loaned out by Fenerbahce, is close to returning to Dinamo Zagreb on loan in January. There has even been an agreement between the club and the player.

Michel even said at the Paraidos Stadium that "Livakovic is not here to be the second or third goalkeeper," but his trust in Gazzaniga remains firm. Gazzaniga's recent performances in front of goal have cemented his place in the starting lineup, but have also opened the door to opportunities for the Croatian - a goalkeeper who is determined not to be a mere spectator at the World Cup.
