Former Bayern director: Not signing Wilz is not a failure, the Premier League is too competitive

Former Bayern technical director Michael Reshke recently accepted an interview with the media. He believes that Bayern did not sign Wiltz and cannot be considered a failure.
Reschke said: "The Premier League is not only the economic level, but also the world's No. 1 league in competitive level, which is more attractive to many players than the Bundesliga. Wiltz is a typical case. At least five of the six top giants want him. Bayern's competition is naturally more difficult, so I don't think this is a failure. When he chooses Liverpool and the Premier League, we must respect the decision and lock in new goals."
Speaking of Heness himself participating in lobbying players, Reschke said: "Heness has extraordinary influence on Wiltz's father generation. He is a legend in the eyes of that generation. This is undoubtedly the ace that Eberel is willing to play. In the end, it is definitely not Heness's problem."
During his tenure as Bayern technical director from 2014 to 2017, Reschke's main reporting targets were Heness and Rummenigge. He recalled: "Although they are not proficient in the international transfer market, this book is not their responsibility, but we can always get support as long as we submit clear competitive arguments, reasonable economic plans, and detailed video analysis reports. Questions and discussions certainly exist, but they are never the obstacles to decision-making. I remember that the transfer discussions about Kimmich and Koeman were full of question marks, but when Nepe and I presented a complete plan, they were always convinced."
